This is the first class in the second semester.
I hope in this semester I will learn a lot of new things about ICT, the topic was for today is (INTRODUCTION TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY)
Here in this class we took the difference between the information and data;
Information: Information is data that is organized and meaningful and it is used for making decisions.

Data:  is raw facts, it can be in the form of numbers, characters, symbols, pictures or even sounds.

And there are qualities of valuable information.
1. Accurate
2. Verifiable
3. Timely
4. Organized
5. Accessible
6. Useful
7. Cost Effective

 And we took about The Economics of Information (In today’s economy, information technology (IT) has fundamentally transformed information availability, changing the economics and business practices in a wide range of industries).
And we start to study about information management.
Actually information management is the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences.
And we took about some problems that happen with information technology. For example, Poor quality of information, including lack of consistency.

And we studied about (IT) information technology and in brief information technology is: the branch of engineering that deals with the use of computers and telecommunications to retrieve and store and transmit information.
And we learn also about the stage of globalization and we have three stages;
      Globalization 1.0 (from 1492 to 1800)
      Globalization 2.0 (from 1800 to 2000)
      Globalization 3.0 (from 2000 to the present)
